Please meet the rather wonderful Naomi Matthew.

Person with long, wavy blonde hair and red lipstick wearing a black top, looking at the camera indoors with a framed picture on the wall behind them.

When did you start writing erotic books, and what was your inspiration for it?

I’ve been a Sissy cross dresser for as far back as I can remember, and I always had these sordid, twisted fantasies about me being “forced” into becoming a girl, or even a slutty bimbo wholly against my will. I discovered sites like Literotica – and even before that, Pink Gladiolas, which tells you my age – not long after first venturing onto the internet, and started thinking “I could do that.”

I had already started writing horror under my male name, so writing down my erotic fantasies when dressed as Sophie just became a natural progression from that.

How would you describe the niche and themes of your work?

There’s a lot of ‘forced femisation’ where boys are turned into girls against their wishes, but then realise they’ve come to love it. And I love the idea of being discovered dressed and then their wives or partners realising that actually, it turns them on too and they start taking control.

My wife actually knows that I dress as Sophie, and that I write erotica, after I came out of the closet to her a couple of years ago,  and thankfully is very understanding.

She’s even read my erotica and is always asking me when will I write more?

What was the first book that you wrote?

Sophie’s seduction. Because I chose the name of Sophie as the wife’s name in that story, I couldn’t then use Sophie as my author name, so I identify as Sophie when I’m femme, but write under the name Naomi Matthews and answer to either when addressed.

I just figure Naomi as Sophie’s nom de plume.

What are your favourite stories to write?

I’ve probably already covered this, but the ones where my girls are broken against their will and then made to enjoy it. I love the idea of giving up control, and being dominated and totally submissive. The whole theme of bimbofication, which I’ve barely touched upon in my writing so far, is such a turn on.

What are three of your favourite words to write?

Moist. I know it’s a marmite word, but I love describing their moist, wet lips as my girls are getting turned on. And panties. I much prefer the word panties over knickers.

And the term “good girl.”

That’s like a trigger phrase for me, as it is for many girls, and when I hear it or read it I go weak as, hopefully, will my readers.

Who do you think are your biggest fans, your core readership? How would you describe them?

Well, hopefully secret sissy cross dressers who aren’t as fortunate as me, and have to live their ‘other’ lives hidden away from those they care about. I like to think my books help give them the confidence to know that they’re not freaks, or weirdos; and that there ARE others out there just like them, that they’re not alone.

But I also suspect a big part of my core readership is probably also admirers – those who’d like to be with a trans girl, or experience being with a sissy, but don’t have the confidence to act on it, or don’t want anyone to know what they’re into.

For a long while my handle on social media was Sexysecretsophie (and still is in a few places) because I recognise that sometimes, as a part-time t-girl or an admirer, because of public perception, these things have to remain a secret behind closed doors.

But it shouldn’t have to be that way.

What is your best selling book, and do you know why it sells so well?

Easy. Force Feminised by my Aunt outsells all my other work, and is my most popular book to date out of all I’ve written. I have a sequel three quarters written, that I hope to finish either by the end of this year or the beginning of next.

You can probably guess what its about, lol.

How do you keep your ideas and stories fresh?

I read a lot of erotica, look at what other people are into – both writers and readers alike – and just try to write stuff that turns ME on. Because if I’m getting turned on and aroused and horny, then hopefully so will my readers.

What’s the secret to a strong title and great cover art?

I have no idea. I like alliteration and because I do my covers myself, try to keep them fairly simple. I think sometimes covers, especially in erotica, can look a bit busy. And you know what they say, less is more. So I just find a sexy royalty-free image, slap on some text, and that’s it. But I have no idea how effective that is.

Do you enjoy hearing from readers?

Oh yes, nothing better than hearing my book turned you on.

I want people unable to resist touching themselves while they’re reading,

I want them imaging the characters in the books is me, and thinking about all the naughty things they’d like to do to me. Or else putting themselves in the place of my characters. I’d love to write custom fantasies for anyone who wanted me to and have offered that occasionally, but I’ve not had many takers to this date.

How much of your work is based on personal experience versus fantasy?

That would be telling.

There has been some crossover, and a lot of the emotions and feelings my characters have are close to my own thoughts and feelings, but that’s all I’m saying.

I’ll leave the rest to your imagination just how naughty and how much of a bad, bad girl I’ve been.

Do your friends and family know that you are an erotic author? If so, how did they react when they found out?

I confessed about Sophie a couple of years ago, and she’s been very understanding and like I say, even read my writing. She already had suspicions from a few incidents a few years ago, and took it much better recently than she did back then when we talked about certain things, but she does have rules she expects me to adhere to so no one else we know finds out. Like going out in public around the local neighbourhood, because she doesn’t want people to recognise me and judge either of us because of it. Which is fair.

What mistakes have you made in your career that others could avoid?

Well, not treating writing like a job. My erotica far outsells my horror by a long shot, and I should probably write more to market and produce more books, but I like to believe in quality over quantity. That said, if you want to be a writer and be successful, I think you need to approach it more like a job, and less like I do – a hobby that pays.

What have been your personal triumphs?

Well, being interviewed by you is a big one. I am a big fan of your social media presence, your podcasts, and your writing, so this is a real honour.

What’s the best thing about writing erotica for you?

Exploring ideas and fantasies I’m not brave enough to experience in real life in a much  safer environment. It’s a dangerous world out there nowadays for trans people, t-girls, and in fact any LGBTQ+, and I see my books as an escape where I and others can live the life and act out the fantasies they can only dream of.
