I’m definitely in the 80%. The sheer exhaustion of not having had a tornado of emotions lived and explored is so raw and frustrating. I am completely out at my second job; the first job is an enigma and largely a threat to my very existence. I’m so close to retirement and the thought of the possibility of having my soul finally extracted is so consuming. I know the post-work life will be a deluge of micro-needling, hair removal, surgeries, and no more brake pumping. My feminity is screaming.
I hear you 100%. I grew up in an era where it was simply not possible to make the change, even flirt with it. And so it was burried, to my great cost. And so many others like me and you. I can only be happy that things are changing, and look to the present and future. Access and acceptance is still not as good as it should be, but it is WAY better than it was.
