The T.A.T.U. and Britney Effect
Do you remember when you first saw these videos? I sure can. They took my breath away.
The nineties and noughties were a sexually charged era for me. And two videos stand out. All the things she said by T.A.T.U and Oops I did it Again, launching Britney Spears.
The music was great, the costumes perfect and the tone and energy just supercharged with eroticism. Even the haircuts and especially the makeup and plucked eyebrows of that time.
Of course being a girly in my heart, these videos really connected with me, especially T.A.T.U.
I am also a big fan of the techo-music of that time and usually write my stories while listening to it. I posted about it here, and what I tend to listen to.
Overall, I miss this era which felt wilder and more dangerous, but in a good way. What do you think?
The crossdresser community celebrates its own icons. Hear their stories in the 2025 Survey, or listen to the Gurl Talk podcast.
I live for all things feminine—stockings, heels, scarlet nails, and above all, the intoxicating touch of another woman. A translesbian muse and unapologetic hedonist, I share my most divine and wicked misadventures in words and now as a podcaster too. All gurls welcome. You are gorgeous. Just like me. xxx
