Desires, Dreams & Discoveries: Michelle’s Journey in Feminine Expression

Michelle’s Story

An Intimate Conversation About Fantasy, Reality, and Self-Discovery

In our latest deep dive into the world of crossdressing taken from my survey, I meet Michelle, a GenX regular crossdresser who shares her intimate journey with remarkable honesty. From childhood discoveries to mature realizations, Michelle opens up about her experiences, desires, and the delicate balance between fantasy and reality.

Your journey started quite early. Can you share that first transformative experience with us?

Oh gosh, I can’t remember exactly how old – or young – I was. Younger than ten anyway. My mother dressed me and my sister up in her leotards and tights to play. I don’t remember anything specific, just this fading memory of emotion. It was just so overwhelmingly incredible, and I wanted to feel that way all the time.

How has your relationship with crossdressing evolved over the years?

I’ve been crossdressing in private since as long as I can remember, so I’ve gone through the entire spectrum of physical, spiritual, and emotional euphorias and doubts. Those have lessened in height or normalized(?) over the years I suppose. Now, it just feels normal to express this incredibly important side of me. So long as I am alone or at home. I still lack the confidence to get beyond that. Everyone on their own timeline I guess.

Let’s talk about style and preferences. What makes you feel most feminine and sensual?

My favorite colors are actually green and blue. For fabric, while I generally prefer smoother, silkier fabrics – particularly nylon and lycra – it doesn’t matter so long as they are of the highest quality and timeless style. I typically steer away from the excessive, flamboyant, or gaudy type presentations, in my view anyway. My style preferences change throughout the seasons and years. Different things influence me in certain ways that inspire different styles or fantasies.

Your first complete transformation with your wife sounds like a pivotal moment. Could you share that experience?

There were a myriad of occasions partially dressed – pantyhose and tights are my thing. But the very first time I was completely dressed as a woman was more recently with my wife of +20 years. It was a big step for me to gather the courage and be that vulnerable. It was a plateau moment of perhaps the fullest and truest expression of myself. I’m incredibly lucky to have a partner that loves me unconditionally and knows me probably better than I know myself.

You mentioned an early experience that left a lasting impression. Would you share that story?

It was a long time ago. Perhaps it was more of a realization in an erotic situation rather than a physical encounter. I was at a friend’s house in elementary school. She was into gymnastics and had a professional trampoline in their perfectly manicured backyard. We were playing as kids do. I had to go inside to use the bathroom. When I was finished, I opened the door and her mother, who’s bedroom was directly across the hall, was having a moment with herself in a leotard and tights. I don’t remember how long I stared in bewilderment but with equal wonderment. It couldn’t have been very long. But I was so completely in euphoria but also feeling a deep, deep desire to ‘be’ like that. In my experience anyway, women seem to have an incredibly warmer ability to love and express themselves. I wanted to be like that. Intense beyond a purely physical encounter.

Let’s dive into your fantasies. What excites you most about embracing your feminine side?

I’ve lived most of the fantasies I’ve conjured up so far. From a pure fantasy standpoint, I like to let somebody into my weird little world and share it with them, whatever that may mean or wherever that may take me. Typing in this moment wearing black pantyhose, black heels, a long sleeve thong bodysuit, and a short skirt is pretty intoxicating, surreal, and fulfilling I have to say. I’ve no clue what the next one will be but I’m looking forward to finding out.

When it comes to intimate encounters, do you prefer feminine company?

I was with a man a long, long time ago and it didn’t suit me. There is a big piece of me that identifies as a woman and prefers women. I prefer quiet, intimate gatherings, and after all these years, I still don’t have the courage to be out in public much, though I wish I could be. When it comes to shopping for clothes with a girlfriend, it definitely gets me excited.

If you could live out any fantasy without consequences, what would you choose?

There are so many physical and spiritual bodies I could dream about swapping with under so many different circumstances, I’m completely lost and overwhelmed by the possibilities. This is perhaps a book and a fantasy that has no ending at all. The Libra in me will never be able to decide upon just one. At my age, I’m perhaps beyond ‘deepest desires and every need met’ types of scenarios – it’s too broad to wrap my head around.

How has embracing this side of yourself affected your overall well-being?

I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety my entire life. It seems as I get closer and closer to accepting myself, the less these ailments are expressed. While I still remain quite private about this side of myself – I’m not ready for social media or public exposure beyond the occasional venture out – I’m finding peace in my personal expression.

Your journey with self-acceptance seems to have had its challenges. What would you tell your younger self?

I grew up in a phase of human evolution, time, family dynamic, etc., that didn’t accept these things. And, the one moment it was revealed to others it was the most humiliating moment I can remember. I’ve worked parts therapy for a few years and have had that very conversation with my younger self. Self-love, courage, safety, and confidence were the messages.
